Sawa (Czuma Carska Chluba)

Sawa (pronounced Sava) was imported from Poland by Monika Stachon at the same time she imported Fiedka (Fiedka Kniaz of the Steppes) from Russia. Sawa is the foundation bitch of Steppes Borzoi, producing two splendid litters, one with Fiedka and another with Remus (Bizzi B Remus De Lobo). Sawa had great angulation, a lovely balanced body and a gentle nature. She had coat to die for, curly and would keep any dog warm in the snow. She was never shown, but could have been easily finished.

Sawa was very gentle but persistent and resourceful, transporting full water and food bowls without spilling them to the location where she wanted them to be. Sawa was quite successful at supplementing her diet by stealing from the garden, stealing from the kitchen, swiping your sandwich off your plate and drinking your morning coffee. She was a very stable personality, protective only when appropriate, and a wonderful companion. She was brave and healthy the entire 14 years of her life.
